SWEDISH MASSAGE >>> (All practitioners)
is a very calming and relaxing style of muscle manipulation that relieves stress, improves sleep, enhances circulation, and provides an excellent assessment technique for further therapies.

Comprised of long-flowing strokes across the body which stimulates blood and lymph circulation, it warms the muscles and encourages the removal of metabolic wastes and toxins from the body. It is also very helpful in the removal of post exercise lactic acid from the muscles, so aiding faster recovery.

MYOFASCIAL RELEASE >>> chris o'brien, debi ondrova, elaine parry
is a form of deep tissue bodyword that works directly with the connective (fascia) that surrounds the muscles. Muscle releases are more profound resulting in a significant reduction in joint and muscle pain with better longterm results than traditional massage.

AYURVEDIC MASSAGE >>>
catherine allegade
is an ancient Indian form of hands on healing, which uses herbal oils and herbal powders as medicine. It is a natural method of relaxing, cleansing and totally rejuvenating the human body and mind.

Ayurvedic Massage helps the heart to circulate blood and stimulates the marma/energy points. This provides more oxygen, glucose, proteins and other vitalizing elements for the tissues and organs.

The movements and techniques used follow the growth of the body. They assist in lengthening the muscles and opening the joints. This increases flexibility and allows the prana/life force energy to move freely, restoring balance throughout the body.

reflexology >>> catherine allegade
is a Complementary Therapy that works on the feet or hands enabling the body to heal itself. Following illness, stress, injury or disease, it is in a state of "imbalance", and vital energy pathways are blocked, preventing the body from functioning effectively. Reflexology can be used to restore and maintain the body's natural equilibrium and encourage healing.

A Reflexologist uses hands only to apply pressure to the feet. For each person the application and the effect of the therapy is unique. Sensitive, trained hands can detect tiny deposits and imbalances in the feet, and by working on these points the Reflexologist can release blockages and restore the free flow of energy to the whole body. Tensions are eased, and circulation and elimination is improved. This gentle therapy encourages the body to heal itself, often counteracting a lifetime of misuse.

reiki >>> catherine allegade, simon prone

Reiki, a Japanese word, when translated means "Spiritually Guided Universal Life Force Energy". Reiki (pronounced Ray-Key) is an ancient natural healing art that energizes and balances the life force energy within and around us.

Reiki is one of the oldest, most powerful hands-on healing methods. Reiki is administered by a certified Reiki practitioner in a quiet and peaceful setting. The Reiki energy flows through the crown of the practitioner's head and flows out through the hands to treat you.

The Reiki practitioner treats you by putting his or her hands into your aura and on your body. Reiki removes unwanted blockages and imbalances. This allows the energy to flow freely through you, providing healing and harmonizing on all levels: Physically, Mentally, Emotionally & Spiritually. Blockages come from negative thoughts and feelings about ourselves. Whether unconscious or conscious, these negative feelings create blockages that if left unresolved, will eventually cause dis-ease in the body.

As you receive the Reiki energy, your energy vibration level is increased. This energy flows to the blockages, breaking up the negative energy that is stuck.

pranic healing >>>
anandi pirie

Pranic healing provides techniques to harness Prana or Vital Force and use it to rebalance, harmonise and strengthen energy fields. The causes of most physical, emotional, psychological and spiritual imbalances lie in the energy field.

As all living forms have energy fields and also as most human activities are surrounded by vortices of energy that control them, Pranic healing techniques can be applied quite successfully to correct dis-ease in plants, animals, relationships, finances , workplaces and the home.

kinesiology >>> louise roworth
A fundamental premise of Kinesiology is that the body has innate healing energy and is doing its best to care for itself, but sometimes needs assistance to achieve this state."

Kinesiology is defined primarily as the use of muscle testing to identify imbalances in the body's structural, chemical, emotional or other energy, to establish the body's priority healing needs, and to evaluate energy changes brought about by a broad spectrum of both manual and non-manual therapeutic procedures.

Kinesiology, therefore, may be understood as a system of natural health care which combines muscle monitoring with the principles of Chinese medicine to assess energy and body function, applying a range of gentle yet powerful healing techniques to improve health, wellbeing and vitality.
